Happiness is........

I have been a little downhearted lately for no particular reason. I haven't felt like doing any of the things I usually enjoy and even blogging, which I was initially so excited about, lost its spark. So, I have decided to get myself back on track, pull myself up, dust myself down, snap out of it- in fact there are so many cliches that I could use that I could go on forever, but I am sure you know what I am trying to say.

To get things started, I am going to blog everyday for a week to share with you something that makes me happy.
So, for today it is my kittens Ruby and Bert. We've only had them for 7 weeks, but they are already a permanent fixture in our home and so much fun. I know those of you out there who are not cat-lovers may not agree, but they really do add something  special to a home.

Anyway, here's some photos and I will see you again tomorrow for my next post.
Lucy

  3. Hiya,

I think there must be smething in the air because I've not been as chiper as usual. I was sent home last Friday crying as I'm so miserable at work. Even the hollow allure of non-descript 'pretty' things hasn't helped. I'm doing the same this week and trying to get back to my old self. I agree about cats, although not sure I could have a kittens - they are hard work!

  5. Hi Sian
Sorry to read that you are not your usual happy self- any chance of a holiday or a few days off work?
Your posts are always so creative and inspiring so try to remember what's most important in life- it's not work, but all of those other things that you love doing. Thats what I try to keep in mind.
My kittens are adorable- not hard work at all- just lots of fun!

  7. They are just gorgeous kittens Lucy. Love them snuggled up to the teddy, probably think it's part of their litter.

Show us your scarf won't you. Love to see where your inspiration takes you.

  8. Hi Lisa
Thanks for your comments. The kittens are so cute and snuggle into that bear regularly. I will definitely show you what my scarf turns out like, but have a distincy feeling that it will be not be nearly as nice as yours!

  9. Can you leave them at home all day or do you need to keep an eye on them?

  10. Hi Lucy,

Been a while but I love the kittens...they are so cute. We have a couple just like that but a bit older...they get more mischevious as they get older.

    See you tomorrow.

    Hank!

I work full-time in London so cannot be home to keep an eye on them. Initially our neighbour popped into check on them but now they are fine. We got two purposefully so that they could keep each other company and it has worked out really well. They even wait for me by the door in the evening!

  14. Thanks for dropping by! I think all you need is a batch of pikelets to cheer yourself up. Go on, get that preserved jam out and go for it.

Love your little kittens, you are so lucky to have them. We have allergies so no kitties for us sadly. I will enjoy showing my girls your photos. Looking forward to your future postings.
